Merry Christmas

Twas the night after Christmas and all thru the house,
not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.
The kids with their sugar high have passed out in bed,
and I with my ice pack hold it tight to my head.
The wrapping paper and boxes strewn here and there
In hopes that St Nickolas has one more to share,
With amazement and glee I am able to shout
The tree is still standing with no lights burnt out!
The dinner was lovely and went on without a hitch
We even sang Christmas carols all in the right pitch!
But with what do my wondering eyes should appear
But 8 giant snowballs the size of reindeer.
Now, Tyler, Now Renae you put those things down
I see what your thinking I say with a frown.
But giggles do follow and snowballs do fly
when 2 little girls are mischievous and on the sly
Our Christmas was merry and filled full of cheer
Only 365 days till we do it all again next year.
So, from all of us in The Knorr family tree
We wish you a Merry Christmas filled with lots cheer of glee
So as I head off to bed and leave this precious sight,
I exclaim: "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!"
