Welcome to my blog! This is the first of what I am hoping to be many entries of the fun filled life of being a small business owner and operator. It will also feature stories about what is currently going on in my life and other random thoughts. I hope for this blog to be insightful, light and fun!
so here it goes..............
It's been a great week! It was my birthday on Tuesday and it was one of the best birthdays I have had in a while. My husband and kids did a great job of making me feel extra special and really went all out to make this birthday very special. They made me a great yummy batch of brownies and cooked me a fabulous dinner. Then it was time for some presents. My girls got me some very comfy slippers and some nice warm pajamas. My hubby got me a few things that I'll not mention here but they are very nice! Now to me that was just fine but this weekend rolled around and my husband planned a weekend getaway for just him and I. It was awesome! He had the girls spend the night with some friends and we were able to have two whole days to ourselves! OH Happy Birthday to me! It was great! He took me to this really quaint little cottage that nestles up to a small lake and had a fire place and everything. It was very romantic and the perfect getaway! This will definitely be a birthday I remeber for a very long time.
So now for the business side of things........I did get a few things done this week believe it or not. I am currently working very hard at updating my Etsy shop with a new style and some new product lines. The hardest part is coming up with good photos that are more appealing. (Still working on this one). I did get some creating done this week and got a shawl completed and some fingerless gloves almostcompleted. Here is a picture of the completed shawl.

So now for the business side of things........I did get a few things done this week believe it or not. I will be posting the fingerless gloves soon. I want to get a couple of pairs made up before I launch them in my store. It's always nice to have a little bit of inventory before releasing them. They seem to be a big seller this year so I need to be ready.
I can't believe that the Christmas season is already fast approaching. It doesn't seem possible, but here it is again. I had such big plans for 2008 that I never even got started on so I guess I need to start looking forward to 2009 as the year I really do a lot of the things on my to do list!
